With the alarming rise in people battling memory issues, dementia, and the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, is there any hope? Let’s see. First, let’s look at deficiencies that are linked to cognitive issues like dementia and Alzheimer’s. Vitamin B12 deficiency has been linked to dementia. In addition, other key nutrients like vitamin B1, vitamin B6, and vitamin D are critical for optimal brain function. A deficiency in these key nutrients may contribute to cognitive decline.
