When Detox Can be detrimental

When you investigate all disorders and diseases, you will find that there is a dysfunction happening in the body that can almost always be linked to a number of different toxins. Toxins that are hindering the body in some way. Depending on the type of toxins, how many toxins, and where the toxins are present, they may manifest in a variety of disorders or dysregulation. Toxins may inhibit the body from removing rogue or damaged cells, preventing the brain, heart, thyroid, liver, reproductive orgrans, or kidneys from functioning properly. But proper detoxfication support can help remove toxic offenders so that the body can return to functioning more optimally.

Toxins can lead to nutritional deficiencies or hormonal deficiences, which can lead to a number of disorders and diseases, such as brain fog, anemia, thyroid issues, and learning or memory issues. But helping the body remove the toxins that are contributing to these issues can go a long way in helping a person reclaim their wellness.

Toxins, like radioactive elements, toxic metals, chemicals compounds, bacteria, parasites, and toxic byproducts released by mold, fungus, or candida albicans, can also contribute to many types of diseases and disorders that disrupt our metabolism. Again, when we assist the body to eliminate these harmful, health-degrading substances, the body can work more the way God created it to.

In my opinion, successful detox support for the body is key for anyone who wants to acheive optimal wellness so that they can keep hiking, playing pickle ball, and playing with the grandkids long into their golden years.

God created our bodies to thrive with the many wonderful foods that we have the blessing of harvesting from the plants and animals that He created for us. Meat from animals raised on pasture grasses and nourishing plants. Beautiful organically grown veggies, like tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, carrots, and spinach. And clean water.

When can doing detox programs actually do more harm than good?

If the body is given supplements or herbal products to kill off parasites that are harboring toxic chemicals, these toxins will be released into the body when the parasites die off. When the body isn’t properly supported while this die-off is happening, the toxins will be mobilized and can end up anywhere. If the mobilized toxins end up in your bloodstream, they could end up in the lungs, the brain, and any organ or tissue of the body. You can see how this could cause some serious problems in the body.

Here are some other ther times when detox support may be contraindicated are:

1. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. You do not want to be pushing toxins out of your cells and tissues more than your body naturally already is because the toxins could end up in your baby. The time to do detox programs is months or even years before you plan to start a family. I recommend, and urge young adults to take heed to this. Starting early in supporting your body can optimize your chances of having healthy pregnancies and healthier babies.

2. If you do not consistently have at least one bowel movement per day, you may need to give your body some additional support before jumping into detox programs. If you don’t, your constipation may worsen. If toxins are not readily removed from the body through the elimination system, then the unremoved toxins can recirculate to other organs and tissues of the body. If the migrating toxins end up in the brain, they may contribute to brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, depression, learning difficulties, spectrum disorders, or general issues with memory.

3. If you do not fully understand how to support your body’s ability to detox, I would not start a detox program until you find someone who is trained in supporting the body’s detoxification system to mentor you. You will save yourself from many unwanted symptoms and potentially from future health issues by properly supporting your body to thoroughly remove toxins.

4. If you currently have an infection of some sort, be sure to get help to address that prior to starting a detox program.

5. Lastly, detox programs may not succeed if you currently enjoy the standard American diet and don’t embrace a healthier lifestyle. It would be like throwing oil on a fire and expecting it to go out. Successful detox program involve making healthier food and beverage choices. That doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a treat now and then. But overall, the diet needs to be nutritious real foods, not processed or genetically modified foods.

We can see how vital successful detoxification is to our health. But we can also see how not managing detox support can be very detrimental to our bodies. Doing detoxes or cleanses without the proper support could potentially lead to future health issues without one even knowing it.

The key is to understand that our bodies need proper support to successfully remove toxins that have gotten into them through hidden toxins that we have eaten or that we have had injected into our bodies. Substances injected or infused into our bodies can cause more significant problems, as they are put directly into the bloodstream. Small amounts of extremely harmful, poisonous, or toxic substances may also be taken into the body from the air we breathe and from the water or beverages that we drink. It’s critical to find the targeted support for your body so that it can deal with and remove the specific toxins that are impeding your wellness.

You can safely remove what doesn’t belong in your body, so that you can enjoy the life that God designed you for. Getting older doesn’t have to mean getting more unhealthy. But toxins will take their toll if they are not addressed.

Proper detox support can give you your life back. It can help your body heal and repair itself. It can be a part of your way of life so that you can enjoy an active, joy-filled life.

Who does God want you to be? Can removing what is hindering your health help you better serve Him and be a greater blessing to His people? I encourage you to pray about and contemplate the answers to these questions, and then take action accordingly.

Serving with joy,
